Seamus has been coming to see us for quite awhile now, we've been looking after his equipment since he was 11 years old.
This very likeable West Waterford man now plays in the USA full time and he was in ForeGolf in January to have his irons completely rebuilt with a more stable shaft. His loft and lie angles were redone to get the better control on the spin of the ball and more consistent distances. We also reset his wedge lofts and bounce angle grind to get him better, crisper contact with the ball.
All this pre-season work has really paid off with Seamus's first win as a full time professional. It's another great result this year from one of our Irish professionals and proves that ForeGolf really are building better golfers.
From eGolf Professional Tour - Seamus Power of Waterford, Ireland entered the final round of the eGolf Tour’s River Run Classic with a three-shot lead following rounds of 64-66—130 to start his week. read more

Its been a great weekend for ForeGolf clubs with one of our most recent visitors Shane Lowry bagging a top 10 finish and €25K while another one of our Irish Tour players Niall Turner took a 3rd place finish out on the Asian Tour.

Niall Turner at Handa Faldo Cambodian Classic
We've been working with Niall for nearly 10 years now and even shipped specially made irons and wedges out to USA when he was in college. Coming up with clever solutions to his ball flight problems so he can swing the way he wants to.
Niall is 6ft 5 and his clubs must be made longer and lighter to suit his posture and swing plane. We adjusted the lie angles of his irons which have to be custom spaced to suit the shaft length and flex. We also designed specific loft on his iron settings to manage his spin and yardage control. This keeps his ball flight consistent and accurate.
ForeGolf makes sure our Irish golfers have the best fitted and hand built equipment to allow them to not only compete at the highest level but win against the best in the world.

We recently helped out Irish International golfer Niall Gorey who posted this just two weeks after we tweaked his irons and built him a new driver and 3 wood
"@Foregolfcustom Thanks Big D. World Ranking pre-ForeGolf 820 position. Post-ForeGolf 135 position."
Thats an incredible 685 places in 2 weeks.
Niall told us to step in and build his clubs whatever way we thought was best for him. Two weeks later he was Ireland's No.1 amateur golfer.
Niall knows the importance of the right clubs to suit him but also the importance of having the right people build the clubs. The fitting is only a part of this story, the quality of the build and having each club handmade perfectly is what produces the end results. Niall put his complete trust in us and just told us to “Do whatever you guys need to do, you guys are the experts”.

Irish Tour player Shane Lowry spent some time in the ForeGolf ClubRoom checking his equipment and his numbers on the Flightscope X2 launch monitor. He tweeted a great picture of Derek and Dave looking a bit suspicious, like they had just rifled through his golf-bag.
For Shane, it's always good to have what we call "the 3rd eye" looking over things and with our independency across the brands, we can give some straight answers and honest feedback. We tested quite a few theories and are building a few clubs over the coming weeks before he heads back out on Tour.
We have a few ideas on making his life on the course easier and coming up with some solid ball flight solutions.

It turns out that the trusted Callaway driver that Gmac has used for the past few years on Tour finally gave up the ghost and split in half on the 17th yesterday in Abu Dhabi. The Callaway head is made with fused titanium and carbon fibre and the seam where they join just gave way and the driver literally broke in half. Great news it seems for his sponsors Cleveland Golf as he immediately put the new Cleveland Classic driver into the bag.
Graeme McDowell tweeted from the course yesterday at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship
@Graeme_McDowell Played beautifully today. Controlled the ball well. No joy on greens. Then my driver cracked! Hit it 200y out of middle on 17 - aqua #double
So we tweeted him to see if he was putting the new Cleveland Tour Classic in the bag and he came back to us with:
@Graeme_McDowell RT @Foregolfcustom Never happened to me before, cracking my driver like that. The head just came apart. >>Whoops mate, Callaway out-Cleveland in >>
Just in time too as the new Cleveland Classic and Classic Tour drivers are on the way for fitting here at ForeGolf. We'll let you know when they land ....

Big Break is a programme that aired in the US on The Golf Channel, a sort of The Apprentice meets golf. This year Big Break, was filmed at The K Club where a group of 12 golfers compete through different golf skill tests, a golfer gets knocked out after each round and a finale 18 holes of match-play. Tommy "two guns" Gainey won Big Break a few years ago and earned over 2 million dollars last year on Tour after his win allowed him two invites out on Tour. This years winner of Big Break gets an invite to play in The Irish Open and The Moroccan Open and $50,000 plus a number of other sponsorship deals.
Mark Murphy from Waterville is this years Big Break Champion and has been a long-time friend of ForeGolf, in fact he's been coming to see us since the early days back in 2000 when the shop was in Naas. Mark, since turning pro has tried his hand at many tournaments both in Europe and over in the US where he now lives. He plays with ForeGolf clubs that have special lucky shamrocks on the heads.
Well done Murph, we're delighted that those clubs did the job and we look forward to seeing you out on Tour next year.

Good luck to all the Irish guys, hoping to win a place on Europe’s biggest golfing stage.

ForeGolf are the only guys in Europe to get the Cleveland Golf / Srixon heads in component, so we can build them exactly how we want them to perform. We went all the way to the USA to secure the rights on the new Miyazaki shafts. We are the official and only stockist of Miyazaki shafts in Ireland.
It proves, that we not only take our business very seriously, but we can really sniff out a top performing product.
We also went to True Temper about the new Dynamic Gold Tour Issue shafts and managed to get them also. They are basically one of the most consistent shafts available from True Temper with matched weights and higher levels of control and consistency.
So, just to prove that we are spot on with getting the very best products for our clients, guess what the most recent winner of the PGA Championship had in the bag? The Cleveland Tour guys sent us "Keegan Bradley - what’s in the bag” We’ll say no more
Hey ForeGolf, here are the tools Keegan used to win the PGA Championship:
- DRIVER: Cleveland Launcher Ultra-Lite TL 310 (10.5°) with a Miyazaki Kusala 61 shaft
- FAIRWAY WOOD: Cleveland Launcher FL (14°) with a Miyazaki Kusala 83 shaft
- HYBRIDS: Cleveland Launcher DST (18°) with a Project X XHB6 shaft; Mashie TM3 (20.5°) with a Miyazaki C Kua 105 shaft
- IRONS: Cleveland CG7 Tour (4-PW) with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue shafts
Derek recently reviewed the new Cleveland Launcher models for Golf Digest Ireland Magazine.
